When my sister told me she was opening up an ice cream shop & airbnb cabins in Island Park Idaho, a small fly fishing town off of route 20, I was excited to help.
I created the branding and gave it a name, The Pine Cone: Sweets & Suites. Next time you are in east Idaho, be sure to grab yourself a cone and a huckleberry shake.
Process
I wanted to create a unique and ownable logo and identity, so I drew inspiration from vintage Idaho ski pamphlets and signs. I reduced the words “pine” and “cone” into their most simple visual forms and it turns out that a cone and a tree kind of look similar when flipped upside-down.
